Every Business Transformation requires a strategy and, to operationalise it, a clear set of objectives. Failing to break these down into a set of guardrails and metrics which can be put into context with the deliverables of the initiative creates significant risks for the transformation success.

In our process-centric approach, this is facilitated by mapping the respective strategic element to an End-to-End or functional context within the process framework.

We use 3 different frameworks, each having it’s use case, to map strategic context:

  1. Business Drivers and Value Drivers using SCOR performance attributes (Fig. 1)

  2. Business Capabilities and Metrics based on the APQC Process and Metric Framework

  3. SAP Business and Solution Capabilities, and Best Practices specifically for SAP-related Use-Cases
